12.31.2009 I put together a little sampler CD that I'm going to be giving out for free while supplies last. I've had these colorful CD slips for a while so I figured I would put them to use. Plus I know it's always a little harder to support us struggling artists after all that Christmas shopping. Here's the insert I just put together. Pick one up at any of my upcoming shows. Yea, I called it my greatest hits. I am aware of the fact that I indeed do not have any hits. I just liked the name better than "Percy Shaw Sampler" Don't you? Let it be known that I hate Parasite Eve. I have spent countless hours playing this dirty little you know what. I have played the game through twice and I can not defeat the end boss. This game should be banned from the world. It should be recalled and excommunicated into the dark matter of the universe. Happy New Year!

12.3.2009 Wow, it's December. Hard to believe. Well I don't want to betray my meta data. I gave up on Rurouni Kenshin. I was definitely enjoying the books until I looked to see how many had actually been published and that was the motivation to give up that series. Not up for another Fruits Basket. I really was enjoying Tokyo Babylon, I read up to book 4, and don't feel like spending money on any more. Maybe later. I'm playing Parasite Eve! (on Playstation) It's pretty great, I was a little hesitant to purchase it, but I'm so glad I did! It's kind of a mix between FF7 and Resident Evil 2 which just happen to be two of my favorite playstation games. The combination is a little odd, but it works, in a nostalgic "the graphics are so bad I'm not sure what's going on" kind of way. Looking forward to playing some more :) I've updated the site a lot. Mainly the media section has been reworked. I put all my downloadable songs on one page here's the link. You can download my old unreleased songs there that were up on that other page (that fell victim to my neglect, sorry). The entire Lonely World's Song EP and two songs from each of my past releases are also available for download. Also check out the photo page. I posted kind of a random mix of pictures from the past ten years. Speaking of the past ten years - WE'RE CELEBRATING THE COMPLETION OF A GLORIOUS DECADE here at percyshaw.com. It's been great, it really has. Online I have sold 1 CD; combined with my digital income since the release of Ours Was The Saddest Anime two years ago; I have grossed about $20! Which still leaves me...several hundred in the hole. But obviously money is not important to me. Music is. I had never put any of my albums online before and figured CDBaby would be a good outlet to "get my myself out there" as they say. Anyway guess I've gone on a bit more than usual here. I'd like to end on a song. But I think it'd be easier to leave you today with a poem, so here goes - -poem has been removed, sorry- Just a verse from a longer poem I wrote a few days ago. Sorry It's kind of a downer. You know, I just finished a new song yesterday and the title was originally going to be "Where Dreams Go To Die" My goodness is that depressing or what? [Maybe you didn't ruin my day after all. Maybe it was the song I wrote...] After many a long hour in contemplation the title I settled with (which is also the final line in the chorus) is "Where Dreams Go When They Don't Come True" A little better, but not much huh? Listen to a rough recording of it on my MySpace. I'm learning French.
11.20.2009 Hey you! Well, I added that Flash intro, like you didn't notice. I'm working on I think my seventh new song and I'd like to record a new full length soon. I'm playing around with the idea of going to a real recording studio (not my basement) to do this one. We'll see though, I really don't have the money now but hopefully something will work out. I'd like to play some shows but I'm really out of the loop if you are interested in booking me, or if you could even recommend any venues for acoustic/indie/folk/country solo artists that would be great too. 10.20.2009 Hi. I've reworked the site a little. Everything might not be quite up and running as of yet, but hopefully we'll get there in a week or so. There's a couple rough recordings of new songs I've been working on up on my MySpace now if you want to check them out. I'm working on setting up some shows. Hopefully I'll have some dates soon. Thanks everybody who came out to my show at Shamrock :) I'm working on putting together a new video for one of my new songs. Hopefully soon I'll have the 8th Floor Euphoria Flash Video and the new vid on percyshaw.com too. I created a MySpace page for Truly I Say To You... I uploaded MP3s and my grindcore graphics and pics there if you want to check it out :P Hope everyone has a great Halloween if I don't talk to you before then :)

4.16.2009 I've made some changes to the site. The lyrics section is gone. If you want to find my lyrics you can search the web for them. They are on a bunch of different lyric sites and should be pretty easy to find. I took the pictures section out for pretty much the same reason. Truly I Say To You... will be released next month (in May). I'll keep you posted of course for when that actually goes down and the CD's are actually available. If you notice something not working on here please let me know and I'll try and take care of it.
4.1.2009 Hi! Exciting News! Truly I Say To You... is finished!!! I've posted all the lyrics from the album on the lyrics page, so please check them out! I am still deciding whether it will be released physically, digitally, both or neither. If you're reading this it's likely you know me and I will likely just be giving you a copy and maybe even buying you dinner because of the equipment you've lent me to use to record it. I'm working on new acoustic music and I'm looking forward to playing some shows this summer, hope to have some show dates soon :) As far as I know the only thing not working on this site is the YouTube Link to the animated video for 8th Floor Euphoria. I don't know why I can't seem to get that to work. The video is on my MySpace if you want to see it. I'll try and it get it on this site too at some point.
